The recent reductions that we have seen in fixed rates for home loans very much tend to suggest that the interest rate increases that has marked 2010 could be coming to an end. This is seeing a renewed interest in fixed rates as many of these are sitting only slightly higher than what is available as a variable rate.

There are advantages in having a fixed rate but there are drawbacks as well as outlined in this article.
