Homeside has added its name to the list of lenders who have recently reduced selected Fixed Rates on home loans. In the case of Homeside, the 3 Year Fixed Rate has been reduced from 7.59% to 7.39%.

This is a contunuing trend with home loans that we have been reporting on now for some weeks and certainly backs up the view that, whilst interest rate increases may not have stopped, they certainly appear to have slowed down.

There has been some renewed interest in Fixed Rates in recent months for home loans especially now that the gap between the current variable rates on offer by many lenders is not significantly different to the short to medium term Fixed Rates that are available.
