We are almost at the end of a very long land and construction loan that has seen Murphy’s Law tested in every way possible for two of our clients.

This couple have had problems with the Mortgage Insurer initially declining a construction loan after the land settled, problems with the valuer not receiving the correct information and therefore providing an incorrect valuation, massive delays with the lender and an inability for anyone from the lender seemingly being able to resolve problems, problems with the builder losing payments from the lender on more than one occasion and then being told by the builder at the end to organise carpets, driveways and turf, get these paid for and we will reimburse you in 28 days!

They would have had to find an extra $14,000 to do this.

We first had a call from the client in July 2009 after a recommendation from an existing client but we’re pleased to say that, at long last, they are about to move into their new house in the next week or so.

What made it even more special from our point of view was when we got an email from Duja last week which finished up by saying:
